Mr Miguel Cubell's mother Eileen Cubells was treated for an infection when
she really had a lymphoma. Since then Mr Cubells has fought tirelessly to
raise the issue that the death rate at his local Trust was higher than
average. Following long discussions with Professor Brian Jarman, the matter
was investigated. Mr Cubells analysed the data and presented his material to
Professor Brian Jarman. Today, Professor Jarman has agreed with Miguel
Cubells and has listed the Trust for investigation as one of the top 25
Trusts with higher than average death rate. See BBC article
.This is a victory for vulnerable members of the local public and we hope
Andy Burnham will ensure the Trust is investigated to ensure that it is not
a clear and present danger to the public.
